Writer’s note: This is in no way, shape or form an attempt to marginalize a religion. All religions are protected in this country. However, based on some of the videos and ideology presented below, it was worth noting that a culture shift could be on the rise in one of the world’s largest cities.

On November 4, 2025, New York City made history by electing Zohran Mamdani as its first Muslim mayor, a democratic socialist who secured over 50% of the vote and more than one million ballots in a resounding rejection of establishment candidates like Andrew Cuomo.

Mamdani’s victory, backed by surging Muslim turnout—up 60% in some primaries compared to 2021—signals the growing political clout of the city’s estimated 800,000 to 1 million Muslims, who make up about 9-12% of the population but punched far above their weight through organized mobilization at mosques and community centers.

This is not mere representation; it is a watershed moment for an Islamic movement that has shifted from post-9/11 defensiveness to bold demands for dominance, echoing patterns seen in places like Dearborn, Michigan, where Muslim-majority governance has led to public calls to prayer blaring across neighborhoods and accusations of creeping theocratic influence.

Mamdani’s campaign openly courted Muslim voters with multilingual outreach and Friday prayer canvassing, framing his win as a rebuke to “Islamophobia” while advocating policies aligned with progressive causes, including strong support for Palestinian rights.

Yet, beneath the celebration lies a more troubling undercurrent: videos circulating from Times Square and other public spaces show Muslim men proclaiming that “Islam will enter every home” and declaring it the “correct religion” that “all of humanity needs,” vowing not to stop until it dominates every American household.

These are not isolated rants but part of a pattern of supremacist rhetoric that treats Islam not as one faith among many in America’s pluralistic mosaic, but as an inevitable conqueror.

This assertiveness manifests violently in the streets. Since the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, pro-Palestinian protests in NYC have repeatedly featured desecration of the American flag—burned, torn down, or replaced with Palestinian, Hezbollah, or Hamas banners. In Manhattan, demonstrators have waved terrorist flags while chanting “death to America,” set U.S. flags ablaze under NYPD noses, and hoisted Palestinian colors over college campuses and public sites, symbolically erasing American sovereignty.

These acts are not peaceful dissent; they are deliberate provocations, rejecting the very nation that granted refuge and rights to millions of Muslim immigrants.

Critics of this movement are swiftly labeled Islamophobes, yet the evidence substantiates deep concerns. Mamdani’s backers include groups tied to controversial figures who have likened non-Muslims to “animals” or defended extreme views. Nationally, Muslim voters abandoned Democrats in 2024 over Gaza, with many supporting Jill Stein or even Trump, showing a bloc prioritizing global Islamic causes over American interests. In NYC, this translated to Mamdani’s triumph despite warnings that his election risks “Islamic extremism,” as even outgoing Mayor Eric Adams noted.

New Yorkers who voted for change now face the consequences: a mayor whose faith is celebrated as progressive triumph, but whose supporters openly declare war on secular America. If “Islam will enter every home” becomes policy—through expanded calls to prayer, sharia-influenced laws, or further erosion of national symbols—the Big Apple risks becoming the next Dearborn, where non-Muslims complain of feeling like outsiders in their own country.

America’s strength lies in assimilation, not balkanization. Flag-burners and supremacy preachers do not seek integration; they demand submission. Mamdani’s election is a clarion call: ignore this Islamic movement’s ambitions at peril to the Republic. Freedom of religion does not mean freedom to conquer. New York voted for this—now the nation must wake up before it’s too late.
