After the events of 2020 that were not pandemic related, if you had told me that a few years later police would not be as vilified as they were at that point in time, I wouldn’t have believed you. Yet, liberal lawmakers somehow managed to provide a “hold my beer” type moment with their criticism and disdain for ICE agents. Imagine that, lawmakers have a problem with a federal agency enforcing the law.
Please make it make sense.
Somehow, under the umbrella of inclusiveness and acceptance, there are people in government offices who are going to great lengths to protect illegal immigrants. It’s insulting to any common sense-thinking American that the well-being of actual American citizens is taking a backseat to someone who entered our country through illicit means.
That is like a local government taking the interests of a burglar ahead of the legal resident who resides in the home. It’s irrational. Yet, that is exactly where we are as a society today. Our homeless problem, veterans and otherwise, is put on the backburner because these liberal lawmakers feel there is more value in propping up foreign citizens.
It would make sense. Appeal to those who are escaping their “awful” country and get their vote, regardless of their legal status. Why else would those same liberals get mad about the removal of those same illegals from voting rolls and even the upcoming census. They stand to lose votes and representation on a federal level.
That is where ICE comes into play.
The agency has been tasked to do one job; remove the hundreds of thousands of illegals who entered the country and return them home. However, the Left had to do its part to condemn the actions of this agency from doing its job and rally its brain-dead supporters to protest outside of ICE facilities or interfere with the apprehension of an illegal immigrant.
Protesting really isn’t the word of it. They have literally incited violence against federal agents citing human rights violations and a lack of due process.
It’s easy for them to gloss over the fact of those American lives who were violated because of the presence of illegal immigrants in this country. Laken Riley is a prime example. When her story was told and her family was recognized during the last State of the Union address earlier this year, many Democrats remained seated. They opted to be disrespectful towards a grieving family instead of standing to acknowledge the tragedy that was caused by their “Open Border” policies. To be fair, the Jackass Party showed how it really felt about Americans throughout that night, but that is a story for a different time.
The logical recourse was to bring in the manpower to remove those who came here illegally and shore up the border to prevent future crossings.
However, in the time that they have been given the green light to do their job, ICE agents have been met with legal injunctions, lack of local cooperation, mobs and even violence. It became so bad, an executive order had to be issued to federally charge anyone who assaulted these agents while executing their duties.
Unfortunately, the attacks against ICE have not stopped. Look no further than the recent shooting in Dallas.
Things have become out of hand to the point where a call for assistance was ignored by Chicago PD higher ups. That is insane.
Keep in mind, they are not there violating anyone’s protected rights. These are criminals. Some are more violent than others. It’s understandable to show sympathy towards those who are desperate to flee their own country in search of a better life because the costs of immigration are extremely high. What is not understandable is the immigrant who enters our county illegally, criticize its polices and wave the flag of their homeland in protest.
What the actual fuck?
The commonsense response would be to tell that person if they don’t like our policies or country, they can go back to their home. Of course, the white saviors of the Left would take that response as some kind of racist remark. No. It’s a logical reaction to someone’s discontent. You wouldn’t go to a social gathering, complain and expect everyone to accommodate to your wants and desires. Instead, you just leave. That is the context in which the criticism of illegals protesting this country is coming from.
It seems strange to think that there are people in this country who will champion the additional of 87k IRS agents but be critical of another that is trying to do its job. People were literally supporting the presence of more tax people versus public safety. It makes zero sense.
The thought process of the liberal hive-mind would have you believe that conservatives hate non-Americans. That is not the case. We will welcome anyone who comes here in the legal way. If we must question anyone’s background, legal or not, we are going to be skeptical. This used to be a bi-partisan issue but that is no longer the case. As mentioned earlier, one party relies on the presence of illegal immigrants to boost their voting numbers and footprint on the electoral stage.
This is why ICE has been dealing with various obstacles and possible violence because the ones who oppose them have no regard for the law or the Constitution they swore to defend. That doesn’t instill a lot of trust in voters who are hopeful that American interests are put first.
The one thing that many people who are protesting outside ICE facilities and actually attacking them is these are still law enforcement agents. There will be consequences. Otherwise, how long before these same people start attacking local law enforcement who are just doing their job of serving and protecting?
I really believe the people more upset about ICE are the same people who had no problem burning cities to protest a criminal’s death. Ultimately, those who came here illegally should be deported. I will concede the focus should be on those who were allowed to pour into the country unchecked by the Biden Administration before shifting to those who entered before 2021.
