The events of the past few weeks have stirred the anger of conservatives across the country. It was bad enough that we are seeing Leftists policies strip away simple freedoms like speech from people just simply because they say or display something that offends others. Of course, that was only one part of the liberal machine to rile up people and call out these idiots who are bending the knee to those who are either non-citizens or simply a small minority.
Here at home, we were horrified at the images of a young woman who was brutally murdered on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina. It says something to our society and most notably our justice system when it allows a criminal with a long rap sheet to remain on the streets and as a result, a woman who was going home lost her life because she sat in front of him. That pissed off many to include this writer. I will have more on this topic in a future post.
Then, just yesterday, we witnessed conservative activist Charlie Kirk get shot simply because he was engaging in civil discourse with university students in Utah. The video of the event was graphic and admittedly, I’m torn on the issue of it remaining in circulation or taking it down altogether. On one hand, the violence shows just how far we have fallen as a society and nation but on the other, would keeping it up embolden others to do the same. The latter is a very real possibility given that social media has a plethora of posts that show people celebrating Mr. Kirk’s death and providing other names to be targeted next. Absolutely sickening.
It seems appropriate that this blog goes live on 9/11.
I cannot promise that you the reader will agree with everything I write; I understand that is not how things work. However, I am providing a combination of facts and my personal opinion on the issue to which you can make up your own mind. After all, that is what is supposed to make our country great.
